We have a 2 year old male who lately has been showing signs of lonliness. We are interstate, and a bit concerned, but wondering if it is too late to think about adding another fuzzy to our family? He is very playful and social, and has lots of experience annoying dogs around the neighbourhood, but not much with ferrets. Help! |

At two years old your boy "should" accept another ferret, but like humans, a ferret may not like every ferret he meets. Some ferrets seem to accept kits better, while others will accept the opposite sex or prefer unsterilised ferrets over sterilised. Depending on where you are it may pay to try and locate other ferret owners and arrange play dates to see if your ferret will get on with other ferrets. |

Thanks Lynda, I appreciate the advice. I'm told there is a baby girl in my neighbourhood, will take extra walks to try and find her!!! Or maybe just ask the vet to pass on my details and save time & energy :) |
