Feeding your ferrets

Ferrets are carnivores and require a meat diet high in protein. It is best to keep their diet as close as possible to what they would eat in the “wild”. This will include things like Chicks, Mice, chicken necks and wings as well as chunky red meat. Have a look the feeding guide under About Ferrets from the home page of this site.
Also when you get your ferrets ask what they are being fed so that they can make the transition into your home easier.
Various suppliers of ferret food are listed in the WAFFS Newsletter "Ferreting Around" or else speak to any of the committee for advice.
