Eating cockroaches

Does anything really happen to ferrets if the eat roaches that they have found? My Bandit found one ate it and then ended up throwing it back up but other wise she seemed okay. Is there any thing else i should look for. I pretty sure it died naturally rather then with toxins.

Re: eating cockroaches

The ferrets I had years ago were cockroach eaters and I just made sure that I didn't place baits around the house. In the wild they'd not only eat rabbits and mice but also insects and lizards so they are simply another source of food.

Re:Eating Cockroaches

My big boy Bane loves cockroaches!!! He chases them around for ages, "playing" with them, catches them and leaves them at the door to his house so Ashka can eat them- unless he eats them himself. I've been told that its ok, as long as there aren't any baits around the place. I must say though, they've cleaned his teeth really well!! (he doesn't like biscuits...)
